When did the name change, and why?
The community rebranded to “The Grand” in 2023. Del Webb built it as the third active adult community in the northwest Valley. It opened in 1996 and finished building out around 2005.
After more than 25 years as “Sun City Grand,” leaders chose a fresh name. They wanted to modernize the community’s image. They also wanted to set it apart from the older Sun City communities nearby. So the goal was a cleaner, more upscale brand — not a change to how the community works.
