I’m Jarl Kubat, and I’ve spent more than 22 years helping buyers and sellers find the right home in Arizona’s 55+ and active adult communities — from the West Valley Sun Cities to the East Valley golf communities and the towns beyond.

Midwest roots, Arizona expertise

I was born and raised in the Midwest, and my wife Mary and I moved our family to Arizona in 2004. Before I ever held a real estate license, I worked with my hands — as an electrician, a house painter, and a certified arborist running our family business, Kubat’s Tree Service, in southern Minnesota from 1987 to 2004.

That background matters more than it might sound. Years in the trades taught me hard work and straight talk, and they gave me an eye for how a home is actually built and cared for. When we walk a property together, I’m not just looking at finishes — I’m reading the roof, the systems, the bones, and the things a brochure won’t tell you.

What I focus on

My whole business is Arizona’s 55+ and active adult communities, across the entire Valley. That means the resort-style, golf, gated, patio-home, and manufactured-home communities that most buyers are choosing between — PebbleCreek and CantaMia in Goodyear, Victory at Verrado and Sun City Festival in Buckeye, Arizona Traditions, Heritage at Asante, Sun Village, The Grand and Sterling Grove in Surprise, Trilogy at Vistancia, Westbrook Village and Ventana Lakes in Peoria, Sun City and Sun City West, and dozens more through Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Sun Lakes, and the East Valley.

Most buyers arrive with one community in mind and no idea how many others might fit them better. Knowing them all — the fees, the age rules, the amenities, the trade-offs — is exactly what I do.
