The single-level Continental Homes models — Surprise, AZ

I live in Arizona Traditions, so I know these plans firsthand. Continental Homes (now D.R. Horton) built the community in two collections: the original Neighborhood Series and the later, generally larger Resort Series. Every model is single-level, and nearly all are “split” floor plans with the master on one side and guest rooms on the other. Below they’re listed by size, so you can see which ones fit how you want to live.

One thing to know as you read: several of the smaller plans are built as a bedroom plus a den, with an optional second bedroom, so the bed count can flex. And a few plans (Willo, Hermosa, La Posada) offer bigger garages — worth knowing if you want room for a golf cart, a workshop, or a third bay. Once you spot the two or three that fit, tell me and I’ll watch for them.

Square footage is Continental Homes’ livable area for the base plan. Several plans were built with options that change the layout — an optional second or third bedroom in place of a den, a golf-cart or third garage bay, an Arizona room, extended patios. So a specific home may differ from the base plan. Always confirm the exact square footage, bed and bath count, and garage on any given home — I’ll pull the real numbers on any listing you like, and since I live here, I can tell you what the street and the neighbors are like too.

Yes. Arizona Traditions is a 55+ active adult community in Surprise — what many buyers mean by a “Surprise retirement community.” At least one resident must be 55 or older. I live here, so I can tell you firsthand how the neighborhood and these single-level plans really live.
