Three activity centers, one connected community

Village Center — the main hub

This is the heart of The Grand. It holds Sonoran Plaza, the Chaparral Center, and the Adobe Fitness Center. You will also find the Grand Café, an outdoor amphitheater, and the Desert Springs golf course right on site. Adobe includes an indoor walking track for the hot months.

Palm Center — the front door

Palm Center is home to the community’s administration offices and Welcome Center. It is where new owners handle paperwork and pick up Activity Cards. Think of it as the community’s front desk.

Cimarron Center — the quieter side

Cimarron Center sits next to the Cimarron golf course on the community’s other side. It has its own fitness space with a sauna. Residents who live nearby love that they rarely have to drive across the community for a workout.

Two fitness centers and a full class schedule

The Grand runs two staffed fitness centers: Adobe at the Village Center and Cimarron on the other side. Between them, you get cardio equipment, weights, indoor walking, and pools for lap swimming and water classes.

The daily class list is long. On any given week you can find yoga, Pilates, aqua fitness, Zumba, strength training, barre, and even drumming. Most drop-in classes run only a few dollars each. Pickleball, tennis, and racquet sports

Pickleball is one of the biggest draws in active adult living right now, and The Grand leans in hard. The community has about 20 pickleball courts and a busy resident-run pickleball club. Beginners and league players both have a place here.

Tennis players have their own dedicated courts and an active tennis club as well. There are also table tennis groups for anyone who wants to stay in the game indoors. If racquet sports are your thing, you will not run out of partners.

Four golf courses, resident rates included

The Grand has four golf courses: Desert Springs, Cimarron, Granite Falls North, and Granite Falls South. All four are open to the public, but residents with an Activity Card play at lower resident rates. It is one of the best golf setups in any West Valley 55+ community.

Pools, courts, and outdoor recreation

Beyond golf and pickleball, the outdoor options keep going. The Grand has multiple swimming pools spread across the community, so a pool is rarely far from home. There is a lot here for people who like to stay busy outside.

Clubs and social life: the real magic

If the amenities are the body of The Grand, the clubs are the heart. The community has dozens of resident-run clubs, interest groups, and support groups. Whatever you are into, there is likely a group already doing it on a schedule.

For everything else, you are minutes from the shops and restaurants along Surprise’s main corridors. But on a quiet night, it is nice to walk or drive a few minutes and let someone else do the cooking.

Safety and peace of mind: C.H.A.P.S.

One amenity buyers love the moment they hear about it is C.H.A.P.S., the resident-volunteer safety patrol. These neighbors run evening street patrols and have looked after the community for about 25 years. It adds a real sense of watchfulness without feeling heavy-handed.

How amenity access works

Access at The Grand runs on the Activity Card. Each home can have up to two cards, tied to the qualified people who live there. You show your card for fitness, recreation, and resident golf rates. It is simple, and we walk every buyer through it at closing.

A typical day at The Grand

Picture a normal Tuesday. You start with a water aerobics class at Adobe, then grab coffee with friends afterward. Midday, you hit a pickleball ladder or a bridge table. In the evening, maybe a club meeting or dinner at the café.

That is the rhythm we see over and over. The homes are comfortable and single-level, but the days are full. For active adults who worried about being bored, The Grand tends to be the opposite problem: too much to choose from.
