Common questions

Is Mission Royale a retirement community?

Yes. Mission Royale is a 55+ active adult golf community in Casa Grande. Under its recorded rules, every home must have at least one resident who is 55 or older.

Can my kids or grandkids live with me?

They can visit. Anyone under 18 may stay no more than three months in any 12-month period. Adult children can live with you as long as someone in the home is 55 or older.

Can a surviving spouse under 55 stay in the home?

Usually, yes. If the 55+ owner passes away, the association may allow a surviving spouse or partner who is at least 45 to stay, as long as the community still meets the federal 80% rule.

What are the HOA fees?

Mission Royale has two associations. For 2026, the active adult association is $441 a quarter and the master association is $45.29 a quarter, about $486 a quarter or roughly $162 a month combined. The seller pays the $400 and $250 disclosure fees at closing. Golf is separate.

How much do homes cost?

Over the last 90 days, homes sold from about $247,000 to $422,500, with a middle sale near $322,500. See our Mission Royale home prices page, updated every quarter, or call or text (480) 710-6326 for today’s numbers.

Is golf included in the HOA?

No. Mission Royale Golf Club is owned separately from the homeowners associations, and owning a home here doesn’t come with the right to play. You pay the club for golf. Ask us about current rates and passes.

What is the Mission Royale golf course like? (scorecard)

It’s an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Greg Nash. It plays 6,700 yards from the Black tees (71.1 rating, 123 slope), 6,151 from the Gold (69.0/114), and 5,536 from the White. The longest hole is the 602-yard par-5 12th. There’s a practice facility and the Mission Grille for a meal after your round.

Can I use my golf cart?

Yes. Gas and electric golf carts are allowed in the community, but only electric carts can be used on the golf course, following the club’s rules.

Does Mission Royale have pickleball?

Yes. The Mission Royale Pickleball Club plays on lighted, dedicated outdoor courts, and a club membership is required to play. Ask us for current court counts and dues. Compare communities on our pickleball communities hub.

Can I lease my home?

Yes. You can lease the whole home to a single household for at least three months at a time. The 55+ rule applies to tenants too, and the owner must confirm it with the association.

Can I park an RV or boat at my home?

No. RVs, boats, trailers, and work trucks can’t be parked or stored on the lot unless they fit in your garage. At least one car must fit in the garage, and the garage can’t be used as living space.

Can I have pets?

Yes. A reasonable number of common household pets are allowed. They must be on a leash outside and kept off the golf course.

Where can I see homes for sale?

Right here: our Mission Royale guide has live MLS listings updated all day, and our Mission Royale floor plans page shows every model.
