Mission Royale is a 55+ active adult golf community in Casa Grande, about halfway between Phoenix and Tucson. It was built from 2003 to 2020 around the Mission Royale Golf Club, and every home is single-level, from the Concert Series plans. Compared with the Valley, you get a newer home, lower HOA fees, and a lower price for the same space.

Is Mission Royale in Casa Grande a retirement community?
Yes. Mission Royale is a 55+ active adult community. Under its recorded rules, every home must have at least one resident who is 55 or older, and that applies to tenants too. Kids and grandkids under 18 can visit, but they can’t stay more than three months in any 12-month period. If a 55+ owner passes away, the association may allow a surviving spouse or partner who is at least 45 to stay.

The golf at Mission Royale
Mission Royale Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Greg Nash, with a practice facility and the Mission Grille. It’s owned separately from the homeowners associations, so owning a home here doesn’t include golf. You pay the club to play, and we can help you understand current rates and passes.

The homes
Every home is single-level, from the Concert Series plans named for music legends. Most have two bedrooms plus a den, and the larger plans add a true third bedroom. Many were built with a golf-cart garage or a private courtyard. See every model on our Mission Royale floor plans page.
A few rules to know: leases must be for the whole home and at least three months. RVs, boats, and trailers can’t be parked at the home unless they fit in the garage. Pets are welcome, on a leash and off the golf course.

It’s a great fit if you want a newer single-level home, golf out your door, and low fees at a price well below the Valley. Think it through if you want to be close to Phoenix-area family, airports, and big-city shopping every day, or you want a huge list of clubs and rec centers.
