Copper Canyon is a 27-hole championship course designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, a design team known across Arizona resort golf. Twenty-seven holes means three separate nines — Lake, Mountain, and Vista — that pair into three different 18-hole rounds, each a par 72. Play it twice in a week and you’re really playing two different golf courses.
Every combination runs across four sets of tees, so there’s a comfortable game here whether you still bomb it or you’ve made peace with the forward tees. From the tips it stretches past 7,000 yards; from the forward Jade tees it plays under 5,300. More than eleven lakes wind through the property, so water is in play often enough to keep you thinking, with the White Tank Mountains standing behind it all.

A couple of holes stand out. The par-5 12th is the signature hole — an elevated tee, water down the left, and a creek cutting the fairway, with a back-to-front green that rewards a smart approach. And the par-4 10th plays straight into the wind off the White Tank Mountains, so it always feels longer than the card says. This is a course with enough teeth to stay interesting and enough width to stay fun.
