Hope you are enjoying your Sunday afternoon as much as I am Enjoying the unseasonably cool temperatures for Mesa, Arizona (Phoenix metro). Usually by this time of year, our daytime temperatures reach into the low 100’s A few days ago (May 15th) we had over and inch of rain that afternoon and evening.
Today I am sitting on my back patio in the 45+ community of Sunland Village East, watching some t.v. and, mowing my yard during commercials. It is hard to believe how fast our grape fruit tree is producing new fruit. I just finished picking all of the over ripe fruit two weeks ago. Family, friends, and neighbors picked and ate a few hundred from this tree. The new grape-fruit will be ready to start picking by the end of December, and really get sweet by mid January. If you find yourself in Arizona this winter — call me, I will let you come and pick some. Many of neighbors have an abundance of oranges and nectarines. With a bit notice, they will allow us to pick some.
Hope you have enjoyed your day! If you know of anyone looking to purchase a home in an Arizona Retirement Community — I would greatly appreciate the referral.

We have had a nice summer in Arizona. It has been much cooler than normal but, the humidity has been much higher that normal (at-least it feels that way). My wife and I went for a drive around sunset last night (in between rain storms). We drove out by Superstition Mountain, and snapped this gorgeous picture. Thought you might enjoy. With all of the recent rains, the desert is dark green – absolutely gorgeous! In ten year of living in Arizona – I have never seen the desert this green. This mountain range is located in Apache Junction, Arizona. There are many great hiking paths and picnic area’s on both sides of the mountain. If you are lucky, maybe you can find the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine (I get 10% of anything you find.
The heavy rain from hurricane Odile – went south and east of the Phoenix Metro area. After the heavy rain from the previous week (most rain in one day that has been recorded) it is probably a good thing the storm missed us. Tuscon was hit hard by both of these storms (lots of flooding).
Hope you all have a great weekend! If you need any assistance with finding a home in Arizona – Please don’t hesitate to call 480-710-6326
